Moved to Load Balancing Solution

We outgrew our dedicated server. We have moved to a three server configuration with two frontend Apache servers and 1 backend database server. We moved over the galleries without too much fanfare. We were feeling pleased however, when we went to upload pics we got the following error

MySQL error reported!

Script: bulkupload

Query: SELECT userid, username, email, password, usergroupid, timezoneoffset, salt, membergroupids FROM user WHERE userid='21686'

Result: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

Database handle: Resource id #7

And yet it still uploads the pic and creates a thumbnail. Any clues?

Query looks fine. Basically the mysql server was not found. See if it continues to happen and is so contact your host to look at there mysql server if your settings are correct

Edited: We found the culprit that was causing this error we had the timeout set too low in the mysql config.

And this is where it gets weird. I have checked the config and it has the correct ip address. AND although I receive an error, it does upload the picture. Now let me clarify that I have three server all physically connected to each other in a private network so the internal ip is something like 10.10.10.3 and not the external ip. Any clues?
