User Rights messed up (seem to be reversed)

My photopost (5.13) integrated with vB3 seem to be reversed in terms of user rights.

The admin users cannot see the Admin link on the menu bar.

Regular users and regular users who has been assigned admin rights can see the Admin link on th menu bar. (the messed up part is the regular user should not see the Admin link).

I checked the usergroup option (funny that I cannot get to it with the admin account but with a regular user account). The admin user group shows admin and mod access (both set to yes). The registered user group shows no for both fields. So this is set correctly.

I even updated usergroup from my forum software. Reset every thing the way it should. Still, regular users get an admin link, but the admin does not.

Please help me out.

Of course if you give em access they will see it. If they have access you should with admin if usergroup 6 is set to admin access. The only explanation here is you have a usergroup that is not imported into the photopost usergroups.

You sure the user your signing in with is admin not mod?(COVERING ALL BASES HERE)

Triggered by your response, I looked at both user group tables for vB and PP. They do not match.

This should be fixed by "Refresh User Groups from your Forum Software" link in the PP admin usergroup panel, right?

If that is the case, PP isn't refreshing it correctly. Can I manually build it in phpMyAdmin?

I rebuilt the usergroup table for PP in phpMyadmin. It is working properly now.

I just wonder why the "Refresh User Groups from your Forum Software" link isn't doing it?

I would imagine that it is supposed to do that, but somehow it isn't doing it for me. I've tried to do it over 10 times, and it didn't bring the corresponding group over from vB. Anyway, rebuilding it directly in the database table is ok.

Can you suggest where I should take a look?

Thanks.

This is the query we run to grab usergroups from vb

$query = "SELECT usergroupid,title,adminpermissions FROM {$Globals['dprefix']}usergroup";

what happens when you run this query in phpmyadmin
