4.82 to 5.03 Uh Oh - 0 Photos

I tried to upgrade my 4.82 version to the 5.03. I ran into errors on step 2 b/c of permission issues. I fixed the permission problems and refreshed the page. Everything moved to step 3 smoothly. In step 3 I ran into the unlink warnings but nothing else. Since those were warnings that files could not be deleted I did not worry too much about them. I reset my permissions and ran step again with no errors. I finished the upgrade script and moved to my photopost admin. There were no thumbnails on the page so I ran the "scan db" utility and told it to rebuild missing thumbnails.

This caused it delete all of the records from my db....? Now it says I have no images but I have all of the comments from the old images.

I checked the data directory and it seems that all of my images are still there. The scan db utility will not actually delete the photos on the drive will it?

I restored the photos table and tried to run the script again but I'm running into the same problem. How can I get PP to recognize the photos in the data dir?

The data directory has the new folders created (mini/medium/thumbnail)

Okay there was the issue. You can not run step3 in the 485/486 upgrade twice as your prepending the userid's on the photos twice.

You need to restore a backup of the photos table and run the upgrade again this time only once

I restored the photos table and tried everything again one time. I am still running into the same issues.

I checked my photos table and the "bigimage" field does not include the userid in the title of the image. The images in the data folder do. Could this be the issue? For example - image cat.jpg from user "10" is labeled cat.jpg in the database. In the data folder the image is named "10cat.jpg".

When I look at my data folder it does not appear that it appended the userid twice to the image...

Could there be something I need to do with "scan db" from the admin tool?

You would need to run the upgrade script 4.8.5/4.8.6 run each step ONCE. In step3 thats where bigimages get renamed
