phpBB upgraded to vB, now need to port over from 4.7i to the latest.

I need guidance! Please help.

I search the forum and saw this thread:

http://www.photopost.com/members/for...d.php?t=114781

But I need more detailed help to do mine.

I am running phpBB integrated with Photopost 4.7i.

I have ported over phpBB to vB 3.0.7.

I need to port over the integrated 4.7i to 5.13 and integrate with vB 3.0.7.

Please outline in detail what I need to do to accomplish this.

From the post that I saw, omegatron also offered a script for correcting userid due to the porting from phpBB to vB 3. I guess I need that too?

My experience level is low to medium in terms of script installation. I have very minimal exposure to php script (I can modify .php files when instructed exactly what to do).

Please help. A very big thank you!

The exact steps are pretty well laid out in the post you have linked.

Quote:

1. change photopost integration from phpbb to vb3 in database settings table entry 41

2. Change cookie settings to vb cookie settings settings table entries 171-173

3. enter vb license number and database settings into photopost config file.

4. Changed in mysql settings table entry 83 to the proper vb table prefix

5. write an import script to rewrite your new userid for the vb users to the photos photos comments and categories tables so photos albums comments etc belong to the proper user as userid's change on a phpbb to vb import
I need a little more quidance. Please bear with me.

So I install Photopost 5.13. Then I change the "Entry 41". These "Entries" mentioned in your post means settings in the installation script?

Is this installation over (or upgraded from) the original installation that was integrated with phpBB? So, if that is true, I am not using a new database to integrate with vB3?

May I email you for the script as well?

Thanks.

In addition, I would like to run the new Photopost in vB3 enhanced mode.

Thanks.

You upgrade your photopost still integrated with phpbb to 5.13 you then change all the entries and config files I noted.

Sorry I dont distribute scripts freely that I write.

I note that a script needs to be written to change the userid's on the 3 tables meantioned.

Thanks for the hints. Now I realize that you are referring to the database table entries after I took a look in myPHPadmin.

I saw that only photos and photo comments have userid involved. I did not see userid involved in categories (but again, I am a beginner.)

I emailed you. Please check your email and let me know. Thanks.

categories table personal albums the userid of the album owner is stored in parent column so its minimum 3 tables to update.
