Category settings question

Me, again...hopefully, I'll get this all sorted out, soon, but I just don't get this one...

I have added Extra Text Fields to a Parent Category and checked the box at the bottom to apply permissions and settings to all children, but the extra text fields are not showing up in the child album. Any idea why?

In adm-cats.php, line 820 change the line to read:
