| PP 5.12 installation problems...
I have installed a fresh new copy of PP 5.12, at the last step when you go to the admin panel, it shows up the screen without any stylesheets, and when i hover over the links it shows as www.domain.com/photopost, even tho i specifically set all my settings properly, what gives? and if i do vb3 user integration i get an error, please help and yes i did put my customer id # in as well... not sure what else to do...
it doesnt seem as though the settings are being saved...
i did the install numerous times...
my setup is Mac OS X 10.4.1
PHP 5.0.4
MySQL 4.1.12
I did everything the instructions said, i set all my permissions properly as well...

Sounds like when you did the options you didn't change one of the values; go into the Admin Options and Global Options and remove the domain.com reference and put your domain in its place.

Hello Michael, I redid the installation more than 10 times, and I was sure to fill out every single thing, even the part that said www.domain.com/forum, I changed that also... I'm not sure why it's not saving my settings on the last step. I know there's nothing wrong with my mysql setup or php install, because I do have got vbulletin running fine on my end. Any ideas what it could be? I've been trying to figure this out all day but still no luck whatsoever. I even tried to manually go into mysqladmin and creating the photopost database, still doesn't seem to work...
I can't even get into the admin-options to change anything by the way, cause after I enter my username, password and hit enter, it takes me directly to http://www.domain.com/photopost/misc.php |

I just went ahead again and started all over from scratch. Downloaded the latest photopost 5.12, unzipped it, placed it on my server, did everything over again properly, still when i hover over all my links, they show www.domain.com for some reason. even tho i cleary changed that during the install... what's going on?

I'm not sure - can you check your settings table via phpmyadmin to see if you have any variables set with www.domain.com ?

michael i solved the problem, i had to go and manually input all my settings in the install.php, which was weird how it didnt seem to want to write those values for me when i was doing the proper method for installing.
any idea why my values didnt stick? I had to manually open the install.php, and input all my values in there, and save the file and then open my webbrowser and run the install.php. That's the only way i got it to work.

That is odd, I don't know why the values wouldn't stick. Maybe it's a PHP 5.0.4 issue we aren't aware of? If so, then I wonder if photo uploads/comments will post properly?
