| Database upgrade question/concern
I'm moving my website to a new hosting company and I am doing a fresh install of all the software, including Photopost.
My question is can I install Photopost 5.11/12 and then import my database from version 4.6? This is really my only option at this point and would like to know what I would have to do to make the necessary upgrades to the database so that it works correctly with 5.11.

I was thinking, if I can get a copy of 4.6, I can just rebuild that and start upgrading from there. Is it possible to get another copy of 4.6?

You should move the 4.6 version over to the new server and then just do an upgrade from there. You cannot install 5.12 and then manually import the data since the fields have changed considerably since then.

You can just move the files and the database from your old server to your new one without the need for an old build - you already have all the files right there.

OK, I followed your advice and installed photopost from the files from my other server. After the install, I reloaded the database, but no images are showing up and the stats list 0 photos. Is there something else I need to do, like scan the database?
I went through the install procedure because just loading the backed up files did nothing but give me blank screens.

Did you make sure all your paths in the database were updated to the new server paths?

If the database needs to be modified, I'm clueless. On my new site, I wanted to name my photopost directory "gallery". I renamed it "photopost" like on my old site, and that seemed to correct the problem.
It seems like I have alot to learn.

I've edited the config file, but everything is linked back to my old website. What other files do I need to edit?
For reference, while in my admin panel, when I make any changes and click to save, it goes to my old site so, I can make any changes to in my admin cp.
