Troubles upgrading to 5.12

Hi,

I am currently running Vbulletin 3.07 with Photopost 4.86 vb3 Enhanced. During the upgrade from 4.85/4.86 to 5 it says it will move files in the DATA folder and that it might take 10 minutes for 10,000 files etc and that we can refresh the page if the process is not done (upgrade.php?upgrade=485&step=2). I waited about 7 minutes then it said the process was done and I could go to the next update (upgrade.php?upgrade=485&step=3). Instead of coming back to the upgrade page with all the links, I got a "the system experienced an unrecoverable error".
I went back to upgrade.php?upgrade=485&step=2 to refresh the page to see if it will fix but this time I got the "it is done" message without even waiting.
At this point, I went to upgrade.php myself and then clicked for the next upgrade and it worked fine until the end. I went to the admin panel and it said it was running the 5.12 version. The problem was the statistic showed 0 photo when I had over 30,000 photos and of course I had no thumbnails with no photos...
I reinstalled the old version from the backup and it is working fine again.

I am pretty sure I following all the instruction fine and I did upgrade fine another photopost I have from 4.86 to 5.12 without any problem. The only difference between the two photoposts is the number of photos (32,000 Vs 600).
How can I fix this problem to be able to upgrade?
Thanks.

I'm not really sure what the problem was to suggest a change in how you upgrade; except to try and determine what the unrecoverable error was. Can you check your error.log Apache or IIS file to see if it will tell you what the actual error was?

I see I have *exactly* the same problem TundraSoul (and indiamike
) posted at 5.02 and missing thumbnails and fortunately it looks there is a fix by uploading and running fixnames.php
Should I run it after running upgrade.php?upgrade=485&step=2?
Thank you in advance.

Chuck just left on a vacation, so I can't get in touch with him to ask about that script; but in reading it over, it appears that is how those two users were able to resolve the problem after they had upgraded. You can try it and always go back if it doesn't work and I'll take a closer look.
