| Changing Usernames For Photos
Is there an easy way of changing wrong usernames to photos that do not match up to correct usernames? I see the feature in EDIT photo, but this is one at a time, I am hoping there is a bulk action somewhere or maybe an edit in code, possibly even a hack or script.
I just did an import from Coppermine and my photos have made it, but the usernames are all wrong.

Well that depends on how you had coppermine setup.
Coppermine importer is written for a coppermine to photopost import. You integrated photopost with vb3. There are alot of variables to consider if you like say for instance had coppermine as an internal install and then install to a photopost with vb3. So in the end it all depends on how far you where from the way the importer was written for.
Here is a script you can run to reassign usernames based off your vb3 userid's

Chuck,
Placed the renamed file in my photopost directory, changed the fields and then saved and tried to run rename.php in my browser and couldnt be found. I plaed with the prefixes a bit to no avail. I know my photopost is pp_, but unsure of my vbulletin, my phpadmin shows no prefix for vbulletin.

Ok,
So I have the import screen and I see the USERNAMES and THE USER ID's do I simply change them? Lets say I am (1) and number (8) has my photos, do I cahnge myself to (8) and him to (1) That does not seem right. Chuck, can you elaborate on this script?

The script will automatically give you a link to click and it updates the comments and photos with the vb username for the userid.
It should already have ran now

well given the way coppermine was imported into photopost but your integrating with vb maybe your userid's dont match but the issue here is there is not really a script for this.
The script I posted here is one I use for people who import phpbb to vb3 and then you need to rewrite userid's
However if your coppermine id and names are different than the forum the only suggestion I would have at this point is to use phpmyadmin and do a sql query to update the userid say =1 where its 8 in photos and comments etc
UPDATE photos SET userid='1' WHERE userid='8'
Its not an easy task for sure
