PP5.11 - Upload limits problem

I updated PP from 5.1 to 5.11 a couple of days ago but since that time several of my members have been unable to upload any images because they get a message saying they have exceeded their daily quota. The quota is set to 5 per day yet some members have only uploaded one image in the past week yet still get the limit block.

I can't say for definite that its the upgrade to PP5.11 thats caused this as we've also been experiencing a string of 20 minute MySQL outtages and I wonder if some data has been corrupted. Which table is the relevant data stored in so that I can check it out? I've had to disable the feature for the time being so that those affected can at least upload something.

What's strange is that its been running faultlessly for ages and then as soon as I updated PP "some" members started having problems. As I said though, this may have something to do with the MySQL problems my host has been having lately.

Oh well, time to go and delve under the hood

I checked the timestamps for one of the members who was getting the limit violation problem and here are the times:

21 May, 2005 at 00:01:54
23 May, 2005 at 18:21:17
23 May, 2005 at 18:22:59
23 May, 2005 at 18:25:25
26 May, 2005 at 05:27:02
06 Jun, 2005 at 04:39:07
11 Jun, 2005 at 15:18:03
12 Jun, 2005 at 19:47:19
13 Jun, 2005 at 10:21:38 - Was stuck here!
15 Jun, 2005 at 15:50:30 - able to upload because I've disabled the limit
15 Jun, 2005 at 15:51:25

I take it that no running count is kept and that the uploads in the previous 24hrs are calculated on the fly? If that is the case then it appears something must be amiss as none of the users involved had uploaded anywhere near the limit. The MySQL outtages appear to have been sorted out about 24hrs ago yet the members were still having difficulty uploading only a few hours ago.

We run PP 5.11 have had it for a few weeks now and have no problems yet. So it looks like it may be something on your host if not something with the MySQL server then it must be something with the server it's self. it may be possible that some data has been corrupted when running the upgrade. This has happend to us before in the pass and our hositng company had to do some stuff to fix it. So if you keep having this problem then maybe you should talk to your hosting company.
