edit photo/post comment not working

Hi
I have had photopost for several months now but suddenly you now cannot edit photos, post comments or even enter any part of the site other than the initial front page. I managed to upload a trial photo but that is it. Please help. This the error message :-

Please try the following:
If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Open the www.fishbrain.biz home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Back button to try another link.
Click Search to look for information on the Internet.

OK before I put anyone to too much thought, I remember that my web host provider has just moved the location of their servers. Maybe this has something to do with it?

Turn off Spider URLs, it doesn't appear your new server can handle them. When I modified the link to read ?photo=xxx instead of /photo/xxx the images appeared.

Thanks for replying so promptly.
I have done that and everything seems to work fine now. If you have time, can you briefly explain what turning off the spider friendly URL's has done? What other effects is this likely to have?

Some servers cannot handle the /variable/value formatting of a URL; I don't know why (although Windows seems to be one system not able to handle it). So when the script tries to process the line, it is unable to.

There is no effect, except if people linked to your photos using the spider URL format, those links will no longer work.

I beleive the issue is as simple as setting the server to allow this info

In the apache config file this should be set to ON

AllowPathInfo On
