5.02 to 5.11 upgrade and cant login
 

I try to login and it says login sucessful and then takes me back to index where im not logged in. Tried deleting cookies - tried firefox and IE

I upgraded by replacing everything except header, footer and 2 config files

The gallery is NOT integrated with anuthing else - uses internal users..

tried the Fixlogin.php script and it didnt help...

seems odd that the 5.11 configinc.php is 96 lines and the old one is 177 lines....

changing board status from open to closed in database seems to be ignored by the board

The 4.8 config was 177 lines the 4.82 config is 96 ;)

This was the upgrade when all the settings went into the database. If you have the proper files uploaded then changing things to closed in the database will most definately be registered by the software.

Please make sure all the proper files and uploaded and check the cookie settings in the database and make sure cookie path is a / then try logging on.

I dloaded the 5.11 files again just to be sure. Uploaded all the files except header and footer. Moved the database settings to the new configinc.php and uploaded it.

Database line
171 is /
172 is bb
173 is blank

Now the closed status is reflected but I still cant login ....
What did I screwup ??

Should I rerun some of the upgrade steps ?

Okay so you did have some older files on disk that are now properly overwritten.

Okay well if I have the proper site other than the fact you need to login on the forum and login again on the gallery it works fine. This is simply because each of the products are on different domains entirely and integrated cookies would never work in this setup

Same problem here. My Photopost is integrated with phpBB. I did the upgrade from 5.03 to 5.1, then 5.1 to 5.11. Now if I log in from Photopost it takes me back to index where im not logged in. However, if I move over to the phpBB forum it shows me I'm logged in.

That would indicate you have not set cookies right.

Check the cookie path domain and prefix settings and ensure they are set right. I suggest a domain setting of .domain.com

If you are unable to login view the mysql settings table in phpmyadmin and set settings 171-173 to the proper cookie setting

I did but nothing has changed

1. set your cookie domain to the .domain.com in phpbb

2. under usergroups table in photopost database what entries are there?

Ok, all solved. I did the upgrade again and now it works. I had probably forgotten to upload a few of the new files before. Thanks for your help!
