Red face HELP, upgraded 4.8 to 5.03..error

I did the upgrade to 5.03 and now images wont show up in the galleries BUT will show up in the admin approval interface.

Everything went fine, worked ok for a few days until i rebuilt thumbnails..then it started.

My original 4.8 DB backup got overwritten by an auto backup process and now i dont know how the hell to get it to work since DB backup is gonne.

All images seem to be on the data dir.

The weird thing is i can see the images if i go to the admin approval page, even tried updating comments in a few images to see if that made the images re-appear in their respective cats...nada.

I'm stuck please help!
