WATERMARKS how?????? Ok I want to add watermarks to all the pics in the photogallery what should I do first? I have photoshop CS2 so I can create anything but should it be a gif or jpg? what size for a watermark? I want it to be in the south east corner Anyhelp would be great |
Hi.. If your online image processor is GD2 then i would make a transparent .png file in CS2, (i wouldn't use a .gif) anything around the 50x50 pixel mark would be fine, then setup/enable watermarks by going to your photopost admin > Edit Settings > Watermark Options also check your photopost admin for : Administration > Edit Categories (to enable watermarks per category/usergroup) -T |
50X50 IS to small would 200x20 be over kill I just want to watermark pics with my web address so if any one copies the it would have the water mark on them |
I need help with this too. My image is a .png image I made in PhotoShop. I have watermark options enabled, the full path to my image is in the field....I don't know how big it is..... |
also check your photopost admin for : Administration > Edit Categories (to enable watermarks per category/usergroup) This is the number one thing people forget to do ;) |
Is there a switch to turn in each category? I do have the full path listed in there although it is the same as default image I want to use. |
down the bottom in category permissions you need to mark which usergroups have there images watermarked |
ok this is stupid I have watermark set to yes I have enabled both on the fly but still not seeing a watermark WHY????? I just tried the on the fly stuff dont really know if I need that but still no watermarks |

In edit categories down the bottom on permission settings is which usergroups get images stamped with the overlay |
settings are fine i get this error at the bottom when i scan the database for unwatermarked images watermarks are still not working Fatal error: imagecreatefrompng(): gd-png: fatal libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and library in /home/hunters/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 190 |
ah view your php settings and see what libraries are supported with GD. Looks as if you have a processor problem and would need to do one of two things. Use imagemagick and a gif watermark or make sure your server has png libraries installed |
here is the respones from server tech support I took a quick look into this issue after our phone conversation-- From what I can see, the png libraries for gd are installed Now what? |
That is a server response error that you see. It is not coming from our application. Line 190 is this $logoImage = ImageCreateFromPNG($watermark); What version of GD? what type of watermark? 8bit or 24bit |
Link to phpinfo also? |
1 Attachment(s) png 8 bit here are some screen shots for GD2 since I have no idea how or where to point you to the php.info |
1 Attachment(s) php pic |
Okay how about you PM me your admin login so I can see what ya got going on. |
I'm having pretty much the same problem with watermarking. I've uploaded my image (watermark.gif), entered the full path in 'watermarking' options selected 'yes' from the list to enable watermarks, checked ALL the user groups in the catergory I want watermarked and applied it to all of the child galleries but I still don't see any watermarks on the images. I don't get an error message like the guy above but if I enable 'on the fly' image protection I can't view large versions of my photos, when I click on a thumbnail I'm just presented with the image title. The gallery is here - http://mnpctechcom.temp.powweb.com/gallery Everything in the 'Mnpctech Gallery' should have the watermark applied to it, but as you can see something isn't set correctly. Ignore the watermarks already there that say "mnpctech.com" as those are on the raw image already, the actual watermark should say "mnpctech.com/gallery" Any thoughts? Cheers |
Your boards are down Basically what processor you using? if your using GD2 you cant use a gif watermark it must be png If your using imagemagick it is a gif. There are tons of things you could set wrong on this. watermark path is server path not url on the fly showing a broken image indicates you have something set wrong like above notes. |
