| CGI Errors since upgrading to 5.1 when uploading
I've just upgraded from 4.7 to 5.1 without any problems, but when anyone goes to upload a file now, when they click to upload, it sits there for a minute or so then
CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.
I have seen posts elsewhere saying "its not our software" etc etc, but nothing else has changed except your software, so perhaps a bit of guidance would be helpful.
Thanks.

sounds like a server problem to me, since photopost uses php and not cgi, would think a call to your host should help!!

umm is your server trying to run php as a CGI for some reason?
you could check that php5isapi.dll is in instead of php.exe in the IIS configuration?

I shouldnt need to check anything on the server. I run a whole load of stuff under PHP, Ubbthreads etc, and 4.7 worked perfectly before I made the upgrade.

Well 5.1 should be alot faster sleeker and mean
I would ensure you download the build again and reupload all files. I mean you can theoritically here to make sure you properly overwrite the files delete everything except uploads data directories and any header footer and config files.
If you have some old and new files you could get this error but usually this is server related totally. Your server error logs can give you a better indication of the exact nature of the error that is happening.

I spotted that you can now have your images outside of the web path so people cannot view them without being local (which i love) is it easy to move these (assuming i get it working!)

Ok upgrade complete, and the CGI errors have returned on uploading only. Repeatable every time.

what do your server logs say about the error? Its your php throwing the error so server error log would give better idea of what the nature of your issue is.

Do you recall last time I did an upgrade you did some work with the integration mod for UBBT, I seem to recall we had some similar issues then.

Thanks.
Timeout is already set very high, and this happens with anything, no matter what the size of the file.
On bulk uploads where it can access the files instantly it happens immediately.
