New Install, unknown column 'albums' in 'field list'

Just installed 5.1, was running older 4.6 but decided to do and have a clean start. Completly wiped out old version in database and on the server. Installed and am setting up categories and am getting swamped with sql errors;

An error was encountered during execution of the query:

UPDATE pp1_categories SET children='',albums='' WHERE id=500

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Unknown column 'albums' in 'field list'

Anyone know what i should be looking for as the cause of the error.
thanks in advance,

What upgrade script do I or should I have to run?
As mentioned it was a complete new install, ran the install.php and everything went fine.

Ran the upgrade script for 5.0 - 5.1, besides 4 duplicate entries I am getting this now;

Warning: unlink(/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxxx.xx/httpdocs/gallery/adm-userg.php): No such file or directory in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxxx.xx/httpdocs/gallery/upgrade.php on line 2076
and line 2077, 2078, and line 2079.

Is there an eaelier version that I can redownload and install (guess I should have just upgraded but my last version had to much of my screwups in it) something like 4.6 and then I can just run the upgrade again?

Sorry for being such a pain!!

I am trying to upload a pic and am getting this now,

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.xxx/httpdocs/gallery/uploads/1/Hubble.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.xxx/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 37

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phppeFr4C' to '/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.xxx/httpdocs/gallery/uploads/1/Hubble.jpg' in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/xxxxxxxxx.xxx/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 37

Line 37 of my image-inc.php is;

$check = move_uploaded_file($tmpname, $dst_file);

Fixed I believe - went through everything and uploads 1 was not set right for the chmod.
Now just have to find why thumbnails are not showing.

Thanks Michael and Omegatron for your help, always great and fast!!
