5.03 login problems Hi all I have been a PP lurker for quite a while now and have decided to actually install it after using 4images for 2 years. I setup a test site to hold my redesign while I got things like images transferred across. Up to tonight, I was running 4.81 quite happily until I heard about 5.x. So I went ahead and renewed my access to the members area, downloaded the latest, deleted everything 4.81 and installed 5.03. Thats where it went pear shaped. No matter what I do, I just cannot get to the admin panel. I tried the cookie path thing mentioned in here, deleted cookies from my machine and even had an associate attempt to login without success. Thinking it may have been the combo of the software I was using (Subdreamer 2.0/VB 3.07/PP 5.03) I installed PP under it's real target domain that only runs VB 3.07. Same there, login as admin to the forum, click admin on the gallery, login to the PP admin screen (?why? - didn't have to do this under 4.81) and get thrown back to the gallery index.. So I am here requesting help and ideas from those who know before I throw in the towel and stick with 4images (yuk, yuk, yuk!).... Cheers Bruce |
1 Attachment(s) Hi, this could be a cookie prefix issue - please re-check all your cookie settings. You may view the settings table in phpmyadmin settings 171-173 and fix these. Try downloading this little script and run from your photopost directory. (rename the file from *.txt to *.php) -T |
Thanks Toney I'll give that a go....again. Still don't quite understand why 4.81 would work and 5.03 doesn't want to know about it..... Cheers Bruce |
Ok, thanks Toney - that file worked. Now can you tell me why 5.03 needed the cookie prefix of "bb" to work yet 4.81 didn't need adjusting at all? Would it have something to do with the tighter integration of PP & VB3? If it has I suggest something is put into a file somewhere for others to refer to during install. On to playing around now and hopefully progressing on my migration from 4images.....if I could just get access to the conversion script from 4images to vBAdvanced I would have starting point :D Cheers Bruce |
4 images to vbadvanced? This is Photopost We may have a 4images to Photopost importer in the works |
