Watermark Images Version - 5.03 Integrated - UBB Threads v6.5.1.1 ========================= Attempting to get the watermark option working correctly. In my previous version of PhotoPost, I had the watermark option functioning correctly, but now I can't see where I've not got the information correct. I have on the fly watermark option turned off. Then on the Watermark Option menu, I have "Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image?" set to yes. It's positioned SouthEast. I also have the full server path set correctly and I've verified it. /home/smoknz28/public_html/ubbthreads/gallery/images/watermark_hideout.png I have uploaded a few photos in testing this out, and it is not positioning the watermark on the images. Any thoughts on this one? |
If you get no watermark then go to edit categories and select what usergroups get there images watermarked per category |
I am having this same problem. I have followed your instructions above and there is still no watermark. Using 5.03 BTW, does the watermark appear on all previously uploaded photos or only new ones? Bob |
Only new ones. What type of watermarking you doing permenant or on the fly what processor? |
See this to find out what happened next: http://www.photopost.com/members/for...71#post1101871 I cannot find a help file on setting up the watermark facility unless you can point me to it. Thanks Bob |
Okay you inadvertently answered my question. You are using on the fly watermarks. If the medium and large images can not be viewed then the watermark does not exist where you are telling us it exists. If this is a pre 5.1 install then in the watermark.php file you must have the proper server path to the data directory and url to the watermark file in that file for pictures to show. |
OK, so do I need to manually edit watermark.php or does this get updated when I put the details in the admin panels. version 5.03 - for the time being. Bob |
in 5.03 if your using on the fly watermarks you need to edit that file. Permenant watermarks use the settings in admin section |
Many thanks. One last thing to clarify, $srcfilename is server path, eg, /home/sites..../photopost/data/$file $watermark is url, eg, http://mysite/graphic.png Bob |
that looks about right but test it to be sure |
Can't get this to work. For $watermark I tried path and url. In Watermark Options I selected 'yes' and put the full correct server path to the png file, as in watermark.php. As soon as I selected 'Enable on-the-fly image protection' in Show Photos options none of the images could be viewed. I need to protect some of the images that are copyrighted as they are appearing on other sites. I have selected the anti-leeching option, that helps, but a watermark will then identify who is pinching our pics. What does "Do you want people to download their favorites?" do if 'no' is selected? Bob |
Either the path to the data directories or the path to watermark are incorrect. Have you verified the watermark truly exists after yout server crash? |
