Thumbs do not show up any more

Every thing was working great till monday now every time any one tries to upload a photo the thumbnail will not show up at all. The small and medium size only shows the box with the red X but if you click to show the larger photo in a new window the picture shows up. I have not changed any paths or the thumb gen. Please any help on what is happening here would be great. I cant figure it out now why it just stopped working. Please some one help I am trying to finish my site and this put me at a dead stop.

Have you checked your directory permissions?

All directories under data need to be 777. what permissions are on your thumb and medium files?

Need some more info on your setup and url to assist

Well i dont host my site godaddy does. Its set up on a linux server. But the odd thing is that my site was up for alomst 3 weeks working as it was suposed to and now it just stoped showing thumbs. The images are uploading and you can view one in the large format but the thumbs will not show. I just checked the folder permishions all the folders in the Data directory are set to 777 and the data directory its self is set to 755
Also the Uploads folder is set to 755 and all folderins in the uload directory is set to 777

Data directory virtual path
This is the web / virtual path to the data directory.

Full path to PhotoPost data directory
Full path to the image files directory.

/home/content/a/l/u/aluisi/html/data/

PATH to UPLOADS directory?

/home/content/a/l/u/aluisi/html/uploads

URL to UPLOADS directory?

I tried to upload photos to all my diferant catagory and I get the same issue

Its' a godaddy thing. Any files created at server level they are setting to 600 instead of allowing us to chmod the files to 666

You would need to contact them and have them fix this issue. Basically they are making the files set to where no one can see them.

Why then is it that if you click on the photo the large image shows up in the pop up window corectly??

I can't tell you why there server does what it does I just know what it does from 2 separate installs I did for customers who are on godaddy the last couple weeks.

It is purely server related as they are setting the file permissions on those files. Our script attempts to set them to 666 but they dont allow it. By default on most servers they default to 644 but the thumbs and mediums default to 600 there.

I beleive it has to do with whatever files the image processor handles

Well godaddy makes things hard then lol. Thanks so much for your time. The funny thing now though is that it magicly fixed its self now I can upload with no issues and the thumbs apear and it works. I am sooo confused but it leads me to belive now that godaddy must have been doing mateniance or somthing on the sever my site is on. Again thanks a bunch for your time and help
