Okay that makes more sense as its coming off from the showmembers and is the only way cat 500 shows is if ppuser is on there

yep its all in how your getting to it

Beings you where trying to use it from a members page the forward is showmembers which makes sense why the box does not work

Hi, we tried this out but the email link only appears (and works) if the member has albums, but doesn't show email link if members pics are only in categorys.

(We have - `Do you want Members Gallery to show all of a users photos? set to - Yes)

I show the proper fix to any issue found above. The email a friend link does not work with members gallery hense the condition to show it when on showgallery and not forwarded from showmembers.

Please explain step by long step on what your doing

Well, the reason of this thread was that `Email Gallery to friend' link did show (pre -fix) in members showgallery cat 500, but wasn't working. I didn't know you were going to remove it totally from this area - Of all cats, members would want to use this the most to refer a friend to their pics

With the fix as per previous post, it does work as wanted, but for albums only.

Because it is not designed to work in showmembers so I essentially fixed a bug in the program. The email a friend works with showgallery.php and the members gallery works with showmembers.php since all the coding is in showgallery the proper fix would be to restrict it from showing in members galleries. Now for a future release possible would be to remove it as a central include and could be worked from multiple scripts but right now it only works with showgallery

Okay, I had a feeling it might be a technical issue beyond my comprehension

For a future release it would be very nice indeed if members could send an email link to just their own pics.
I will post this into suggestions for consideration.

BTW I understand now why email to friend link in albums work now - because they were assigned to main cats /not members cat.

Well to my suprise, after finishing up my testing of all features I run into the same issue as mjm.

1. If you are in your private album - you can "Email Gallery Link to Friend"
2. If you are, like in my case, in Home > Art Galleries > [Artist member gallery], the link does not work and as I and mjm realized your fix really removed a feature that was one of the top reasons why I liked the php photopost, including the e-card (which is working beautifully :-) .

1. I don't have any categories, these are all artist's galleries
2. This is a key feature I am actually planning to advertise to my artists as a key benefit.
3. How can we make this work? What does it take? Help? Is there a hack or anything?:-) This is really, really important to have for me to advertise the gallery.

Any, but any help would be very appriciated by a starving artist ..

What version of the software are you using. Your are responding to 45 day old threads on old software version.

Hi Chuck,

I am on 5.03, I purchase it only a month ago (you helped install it for me). I just searched the site if I can find a solution to make this work, did not realize it was 45 days old.

I actually found a site where you can send "Email Gallery Link to Friend" - and it works not only from Albums, but also from galleries - so there must be a fix (or it used to work on an old solution).

I just need it to work on the one category I have "Art Galleries" > Artist do you have any suggestions? :-) even pointers.
