variable name changes in newer version?

Heads up vb webmasters. I found that the global variable name $useruploads has been changed to $User['uploads'].

(Some variable names are required or used in templates, please don't shunt us off to photopost dev)

It may even be this variable name was my own invention. After years of photopost, I have learned how to keep my hacks to the minimum. But some hacks are a fact of life. They are what makes my board better than yours, and vice versa of course.

But I did not track hacks in templates very serously. Big mistake. This latest release has so many template changes, a simple text compare produces too much information to be useful. I should have tagged all my template mods.

If anyone has list of other template variable name changes... or suggestions for cleaning this sort of thing up with a minimum of pain; spotting changes; or preventing future repeats... that would be cool.

Here's the rest of it for anyone else building an upload link in a template:

uploadphoto.php?catid=$catid is now uploadphoto.php$catquery

Am I missing somehing obvious, like a catalogue of these kind of changes?

Cheers

Hello

Variable names change all the time in software as you know also your hacks would then need to be modified to the present code.

I dont think uploadphoto changed. I beleive it has been this for as long as I remember

uploadphoto.php?cat=$cat

Works fine on my install testing a link with the above format and I am running 5.03
