| 5.03 - Moving categories
In the edit category page I am only getting a partial list of categories in the parent dropdown list. I just closed two contests and am now unable to move the categories to the contest archive because its not showing up on the list.

One of you PM me ftp access to try some modified files.
I really need to see someone else's install here. First to make sure all the proper files have been uploaded for 5.03 and then to try some modified ones.
I added like 15 new cats to my install to try and duplicate the issue and I cant duplicate this problem. So we are going to have to take some baby steps here.

Rids
In your case I see nothing wrong. Everyone of your cats was displayed that had upload access. When counting your cats blah blah I was wondering why some did not appear in the catoptions box.
However upon closer inspection of your setup every category in contest archives upload access was set to empty for every usergroup thus they do not appear in the catoptions.
I set archives to upload access to admin and lo and behold they are there now.
Go ahead check out your install and tell me if you find anything off but your issue was you did not allow uploads to admin on the archive hense it would not appear in the list to move to.
I have a feeling out other guy has things set the same way we shall see.

D'oh!
Sorry about that Omegatron, it appears the problem was due to a lack of understanding on my part and not the program. You'd think after using it for the last couple of years I'd have realised how it worked by now. Whenever a contest closes I always remove all upload permissions to stop late entries and at some point I must have set it to the archive master category by mistake. My apologies for wasting your time but thanks for sorting things out |

No Problem I checked the other guys install and he did the same thing
Never a waste of time helping a customer just bash my head against the wall at times trying to figure out what everyone is going.

Yes, thanks for sorting it out. This must've changed from 4.X to 5.X because I've had it set this way since the first install on PP a few years back.
