2 issues with new install

First:
When I log in to the user area as Admin, here's the navigation I see:
My Gallery · My Favorites Admin · Home · Search · Profile · Upload Photos

When I log in as a user, I see this navigation:
My Gallery · My Favorites Home · Search · Profile

So there's no way for users to upload photos. I can't find anything in the options that changes these navigation settings.

Second:
When I'm logged into the user area as Admin and I click on the "Upload Photos" link I get the following error message:
Sorry, you don't have permission to upload photos.

Thanks in advance for your help,
George

It's very confusing but you need to give your users the permissions to do so and it works. Truth is that the whole process of how to upload photos and place albums is extremely non-intuitive and hopefully this will be taken into cosideration for the next version.

in addition, do you have vbulletin integration?

Yes, we have VBulletin 3.0.6 integrated.

... do you mean each user has to be manually configured to allow photo uploads? I have the default settings set to allow users to upload photos -- there has to be something I'm missing?

Here are the (relevant) settings in the Admin Options area:

Allow users to upload photos? Yes
Allow users to post comments? Yes
Allow users to create Personal Albums? Yes
Allow multimedia uploads? No
Do you want to be notified of all new comments? No
Notify Admin of New Uploads? Yes
Allow users to move their own images? Yes
Allow users to delete their own images? No

Thanks again for any help --
George

I'm guessing that you may also have to make sure that the group that is logging in has sufficient permissions to post, etc. Did you check the UserGroup Editor? Your list looks familiar but the items don't correspond.

Thanks for your help -- I figured out the Usergroup function (no groups had permission to upload)

Okay -- so I fixed that and while uploading a pic as admin I received this error:

Warning: copy(/home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/photopost/data500/1flashman-thumb.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 266

-----------------and-----------------------

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" -size 57x100 -quality 70 -geometry 57x100 '/home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/photopost/data500/1flashman-thumb.jpg'

Is this something you've seen before?

Thanks for all your help, shakeme!

George

Don't kick yourself. I had to find where all these items were located when I started too. That error sounds like you've got your image creation software configured improperly, e.g. GD or imagemagick. Make sure the path and the one selected are proper.

Like he said, your path to ImageMagick is set wrong; find out the proper path and set it in your Admin Options.
