Exclamation Suddenly Cannot Login

Hi there!

I installed my version of PhotoPost v4.0 the other day and integrated it with phpBB (latest version). Everything seemed to work fine, and I uploaded a ton of photos over the course of 2-3 days. I had no problems, and the phpBB forum and the PhotoPost gallery were well integrated.

Suddenly, tonight, while I can log into phpBB just fine, that login isn't maintained on the PhotoPost end. I hadn't changed any configuration settings on either phpBB or PhotoPost, so I'm not sure why this is happening, especially since it worked fine earlier. While I can successfully log in via the "Login" link on the PhotoPost page, it sends me back to the main PhotoPost gallery page and shows me as logged out.

Help!!

This sounds to me like a cookie issue. Make sure to check that your cookies are set correct between both applications

for phpbb probally the best settings would be

cookie path /

cookie domain .domain.com

cookie prefix is phpbb2mysql

Hi there,

The cookie settings were as you specified, and this problem was still occurring. However, as of this morning, the problem disappeared (and I was able to log in). I'm starting to think that the way phpBB handles sessions may be causing problems to PhotoPost. Other posters had this problem before, and I never really saw it being resolved. phpBB, however, changed its session code several versions back.

Thoughts?

It is now happening again. I can log into phpBB just fine, but not into PhotoPost. Here are my cookie values:

Quote:
phpbb2mysql_data a:2:{s:11:\"autologinid\";s:0:\"\";s:6:\"userid\";s:1:\"2\";}
phpbb2mysql_sid d9d8c4792b8dcf9d30ddd1d2945bb4c2

As long as your not viewing phpbb and photopost in different browser sessions you should not have an issue

You would need to post your site url and a test login
