Fatal Error: Failed opening

I am getting the following error;

Fatal error: Failed opening required '/home/virtual/site477/fst/var/www/html/gallery/languages/english/pp-inc.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /home/virtual/site477/fst/var/www/html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 63

I have not touched the gallery for about 3 months, so I found it really odd that something should happening without touching it. People have been uploading but I shouldn't imagine they are able to do much damage!

Can anyone help, I have no idea what to do.....

Would you believe this is still going...... I found the solution to the last problem, most of my files were missing!!

Now I have finally got the people from my web host to reupload the gallery folder but half of the images are showing and half of them aren't. There is about 30 images difference between what the gallery says I have and what is actually in the folder. All the Thumbnails on the front page won't show up.

The guys from the web host checked the permission and tried to have a look into the problem for me but they don't know whats happened either.

Can anyone help me out? The website is www.memorybugs.com.au/gallery/.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Upon further investigation I am noticing that anything from 2005 will not show up, but everything from 2004 will! Is it possible that there is something wrong with the date or a function to do with a date?

I would more than likely state that your webserver crashed and your host restored you from an older backup or faulty one

It would explain missing files and pictures not existing from 2005

You were right Chuck, and I am still trying to clean up the mess.

When we lost the data some of the files were deleted. I am now getting these messages below. I have manually created a folder '506' because there wasn't one in the data directory. Can I do that or do I have to go about it another way. The users would like to reload over the top of their old images so they don't lose all the comments at the bottom, so i thought if i created a 506 folder atleast the images would have a place to go to, but it's not working. Is there a fix?

Set all data directories to 777

copy these contents into a new file called fixcats.php save and run from your photopost directory. This should create and set to 777 any missing cats

I did that but the same error occured

Warning: Unable to create '/home/virtual/site477/fst/var/www/html/gallery/data/506/66cover.jpg': No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site477/fst/var/www/html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 34

Should I recreate the folder? I actually deleted it again cause it caused a problem with the gallery last time?

You need to create this structure for any missing category. Your still using an older version so here

--DATA
--500
--501
--502
--503
--504
--505
--506

etc and all 777

I think I am through with my web host, I am now getting this message. I haven't changed anything so I am assuming they have broken something?

Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/virtual/site477/fst/var/www/html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 74

Either Mysql is down or they changed your mysql info. That is oh course if somehow your mysql info in config was not changed.
