I'm already using GD2 Toney. I don't know what the memory limit is in php.ini, but this problem has only come about since upgrading to PP 5.02, eveything was fine before that, so unless PP has suddenly become very memory hungry I can't see why it would need to be changed?.... The uploads directory is clear, no files are left there after processing. My php is limited to 2Mb filesize, which is exactly what is setup in PP, the images I've tested with are only a couple of hundred Kb, so I'm nowhere near the filesize limit anyway....
As I said earlier, everything appears to work fine apart from these error messages, but it's going to cause problems whem my users think their uploads have failed.
