Question Imagemagick thumbnail grief - Error 1

PhotoPost Pro V 5.02
ImageMagick V 6.2.1
Windows Server IIS 6

Data and Uploads directories all have correct permissions.

I cannot upload or process files within a directory and keep getting errors.

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: -1

Command:

"E:\Program Files\ImageMagick-6.2.1-Q16\mogrify.exe" +profile "*" -size 125x94 -quality 70 -geometry 125x94 -unsharp 10 E:/InetPub/tobeme/sites/domain/photos/data/506/thumbs/DSC06109.JPG

I searched through the archives and found mention of removing +profile \"*\" , which I did, only to still receive errors:

"E:\Program Files\ImageMagick-6.2.1-Q16\mogrify.exe" -size 125x94 -quality 70 -geometry 125x94 -unsharp 10 E:/InetPub/tobeme/site/domain/photos/data/506/thumbs/DSC06108.JPG

I originally tried the ImageMagick version available from the photopost.com site with the same results, thus why I tried with the latest and greatest version.

Thanks,
Chuck

Well first off couple things on windows

Have you set permissions on the data and uploads directories EVERYONE READ WRITE EXECUTE? BASICALLY FULL CONTROL

Have you set IWAM and IUSER control over the above said directories?

The error is totally one of permissions which means something above was not done. I also know as tricky as windows is sometimes the use of the long file paths dont work. Most users in the long run end up using GD2

Most people with windows do.

If you have your own windows box or a dedicated one where you have backend access you can get ImageMagick to work with the proper permissions.

The permissions are all ok, basically everyone has full control on the uploads and data directory. I have PhotoPost Pro 4.0.1 working on another Windows IIS 6 server I have, without any problems and even used this as a basic comparison for permissions and such. The only difference between these two boxes is the version of PhotoPost Pro and ImageMagick (the other box is using the version supplied from your site).

Anyhoo, I went with GD2 and it works without a hitch, tho I would still prefer to use ImageMagick, it just does not want to go for some darn reason. Gotta love IIS ;-)

Thanks,
Chuck
