Custom Fields not "sticking"

I've added a custom field to Photopost sub-categories (or have I?). When I upload a photo the custom field is there. Its a simple choice of Option A or Option B. I can select one of those options. (I've tried "Check Boxes" and "Radio Buttons").

However, once I view the photo after successful upload the field is blank (and blank again under "Edit Photo" also).

Do I need to add the fields to the "Photo" table manually or does Photopost do that on the fly? I don't see any custom fields in the table except for those already created upon installation (Extra Fields).

Thanks!

Hi..

No need to add them manually, they should show, please try re-uploading your showphoto template (if your using vb3 upload from the vb3 advanced dir) - are you using PP5.0.2?

Definately make sure you have the all the proper new files and templates uploaded. Just tested and works fine here.

I am using 5.0.2 fresh install. No optional fields are showing in the database or on the site obviously. I'm not exactly sure what is meant by "if your using vb3 upload from the vb3 advanced dir". I have Photopost integrated into vb3/vPortal. All of the other options seem to be working in Admin.

I see there's a slightly newer version out now. I'll see if that fixes the issue.

I re-uploaded the showphoto template and the fields still don't appear correctly.

I have two choices as check boxes, these are "Male" and "Female" which I entered in as "Male||Female". For some reason, only the "Female" check box shows as checked. If the species is male, neither box shows as checked (and believe me I have checked the box several times since re-uploading the template).

The footer shows 5.0.2 vb3 Enhanced.

Thanks!

Try updating to 503 just so we are working with the same codebase. Make sure to upload all files except config files

If I make a extra field box of two checkboxes it surely shows on my install

Thank you. As soon as my host gets my php/MySql backup fixed I'll give it a shot.

Thanks again!
