4.7i to 5.02 upgrade - Layout screwed upside down

We had the 4.7i of Photopost installed and I upgraded now onto 5.02 - and I am VERY disappointed. Just look at the result:

http://www.comicforum.de/photopost/index.php

Replacements in the vb3-templates don't work. The layout looks aweful. I already uploaded the vb3enhanced-templates, but it didn't make considerable changes.

Are there any templates which work better? And much more important: Is there any way to get the replacements work again? Cause they worked in 4.7i.

If my data-folder wouldn't be so big, I would consider stepping back again. I really hoped for a much better integration into vb3. What I see on my board is worse than before.

Mirical

You are the lone man who does not like the enhanced vb3 features. Most people love em including me. I just recently switched to VB3 and love the enhanced features

In admin options under forum settings do you have use forum style set to yes? It looks like you dont and as a result when you have this set to no it is not picking up the style. Your partial styles showing are from loading the vbenhanced templates otherwise you would have a completely white page

As far as some type of specially designed header system You might need to modify our files as we simple pull the $header and $navbar templates from VB3 and not necessarily replacement variables that I know of.

Also I see on your cat template you have cat depth set to 0 and every category parent is set to contains thumbs to NO. This would look awful on any version of Photopost and any integration.

aaaha, now it looks pretty different. The forum style was set to no. Nooooow, that comes close to perfect. Ok that was already a great, great help

how can I change / hack the files in order to have the replacements made? We have these variables in all of our templates, as we have many different styles - around 70 - in our forum.

Yeppers

You just need to grab those replacement variables or define them

ok, but how do I do that? Which file needs to be changed, and what needs to inserted?

I can not tell you that. I really would not know as using replacement variables is not that common.

I can tell you as far as what file of ours would need to be modified it would be header-inc.php as far as what I can not say.

ok here is the solution to this:

search for:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Add underneath:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
The same method can be applied by any other template if there are replacement variables in them. Works like a charm on my part
