Error 127 When Uploading photos in 5.01

When uploading photos all users receive the following error:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127

Command:

"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 95x71 -quality 80 -geometry 95x71 -unsharp 10 '/usr/local/www/data-dist/gallery/data/500/thumbs/IMG_0993.JPG'

This seems to have occured during a recent upgrade (I was running rc3). I use vb's registration and user system but have the templates and enchanced features turned off. The gallery is www.scubaboard.com/gallery/

What version of IM are you running? You might want to upgrade to a newer version. The +profile "*" was added to remove EXIF/IPTC info from thumbnails (causing thumbnails of 40kb+ if not used). Some older versions of IM didnt handle this parameter very well; so you can either upgrade or remove that reference from image-inc.php

I am transitioning to a new server this weekend (just got the word from corporate) so I'll hold off on the upgrade until we have the new machine. Thanks.

Well, I tried removing +profile "*" but the error persists. Any other ideas for changes to the software until such time as I can upgrade IM?

If you removed it and your still getting 127 mogrify does not exist where your telling the program it is or you dont have permissions to use it

/usr/bin/X11/mogrify IS VERY VERY VERY UNCOMMON ALMOST NEVER USED

/usr/bin/mogrify
/usr/local/mogrify
/usr/X11R6/bin/mogrify

are some popular ones although you may not even have it installed. Have you tried using GD2?

You were right, it was a path problem, all fixed now. Here's the $64,000 question though.... I didn't modify the config, neither did your script and program hasn't been changed in months so how did it work all that time

Most likely you where using GD2
