log out problem i have just installed photopost, integrating with SMF. i now have the problem of logging out. here's the detail: i log in from photopost, it goes in fine and i can go back and forth between the SMF and Photopost. Now when i want to log out from Photopost, it doesn't work nomatter how many time i click on logout! so i go to SMF and i have to click on logout two times before it logs out. what am i doing wrong ? thanks |
I i believe there's nothing wrong as such, it's just the SMF cookie information still being held, i would re-check your cookie prefix, make sure it's the same for both photopost and SMF -T |
i am using SMF database for both with SMF prefix as smf_ and Photopost prefix as pp_ should i change the pp_ prefix to smf_??? and if so, can I change it now that i've already installed it without causing problem??? www.digitalpick.com i am sure i am doing something wrong but I can't figure out what. need help please, thanks |
yes i believe altering the Photopost cookie prefix to 'smf_' would help greatly goto your photopost admin settings > edit settings > Cookie Settings > Forum Cookie Prefix -T |
In the settings table entry 165 is the SMF COOKIE NAME You need to enter your SMF COOKIE NAME WHICH IS IN YOUR ADMIN CONFIG OF SMF HERE I beleive by default if you never changed it it should be SMFCOOKIE |
cookie in SMF server settings is "SMFCookie10", which i have put in line 165 of Photopost settings. i never changed the name, this is what it was. thanks |
i think i figured out what the problem was. in the settings of smf, the gallery url is listed as www.digitalpick.com in some places and digitalpick.com in some other field, so i made them all the same and right now it works fine. i just hope it stays that way. |
make your cookie domains in both products this below .digitalpick.com Then you can use www.domain or domain.com |
i don't see any place in smf where it asks for specifying the cookie domain! |
well in that case maybe there software doesnt have a place to do that so yes both apps and all links should point to the same domain |
