Upgrade Problem 5.0.1 to 5.0.2

Did as install thread tell us.

removed first all old files except the 3 we do need to upgrade.

uploaded all 5.0.2 files

started /upgrade.php file

see to my surprise no link for upgrade 5.0.1 to 5.0.2

Here are the last two options in the upgrade file:

4.85/4.86 Upgrade 4.85 or 4.86

5.0 BETA 3+ Upgrade a 5.0 BETA to 5.0. You only need run this one if you are running a BETA version of PP5.

---------------

When I go to my gallery index I see two errors:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/xboxuser/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 350

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/xboxuser/public_html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 2766

No template, text is all black on a white screen

I can't login as admin, cleared cookies etc.

Wassup?

I'm confused, the upgrade instructions explcitly say:

There is no upgrade.php file to run; you only need upload the files which have changed.

Did you overwrite the config-inc.php file or something? It's not able to read the usergroups table.

When I did read again over the install instructions I did see that I didn't needed to run any script, which I didn't.
I also didn't overwrite the config file, I erased all files except the 3 you mention in your upgrade posting.

So I'm just as confused as you

You sure you where running 5.0 as it looks to me like your usergroups table doesnt mesh which means an upgrade was not run.

what is the structure of your usergroups table?

Not to confuse, but the 5.02 build package does not have the updated CHANGELOG.TXT in the documentation folder. I had to read the forum thread...

Here in lies your issue.

You where trying to upgrade from 4.8.2 to 5.02

You would need to run the upgrades to run the new version. I have ran them for you.

2 things left you need to do.

If your going to run the new vb3 enhanced features copy the templates from vb3 enhanced into the templates main folder overwriting the normal files

then chmod your config-int.php file so you can edit integration settings in admin and turn on your vb3 integration
