PP 5: Comment notification gone?

We don't appear to be getting mail notification for comments placed on our pictures. I notice in the profile that there is a list of the titles of all the images uploaded and a notification checkbox against each. These checkboxes are not checked by default, do we have to select the shots we want to see notifications for? Hope not, I have over 2000 shots in my gallery and that would take quite some time, if so is there any way to select all and check all bowes in one go?

Have you tested mail to see if it works on your server? We simply use the internal php mail command for sending email thus it means that mail must be set to work with php

Try setting notify admin of all things and see if when someone posts a pic that you get a notification a new pic is uploaded.

I have tested notifications and they do appear to work just fine.

The photo upload notification works for me. I am not sure why the comment notification not working on my site.

Also see the attached image: why is there some check box with no image name? Un-complete clean up?

Photopost without titles maybe

At any rate I can not replicate it and we are using the same integration vb3. Comment notifications come in fine when a user comments on a photo I have set notify to YES

In that Photo Notification page, you can check box to "unsubscribe" from photo comment notification. Then how can you subscribe again? I find no place to do this... In the past, we have a link that lets you subscribe/unsubscribe.

Anyone can explain to me?

You subscribe to a photo while viewing it.

That option is not there anymore in PP 5.

How do the OWNER manage this then?

If you have notifications enabled in your admin, you;'ll see the option:

Receive Email Updates

under the photo.

I think this might be a bug. I enabled the notifications in the admin. My user still report they do not get comment notification for any of the comments, new photos or old photos.

Before, I set it default that user receive the comment notification for every uploaded photo. Now it seems this is completely gone. Does it have anything to do with file naming?

And how to change it back?

There is no bug here that I see

If I upload a user using a test account and mark the box yes on uploadphoto as a user

Want to be notified by email when users post replies?

I then go in with another user account and post a comment the user account that uploads the photo is notified of the new comment

If the user does not mark notify to yes when uploading a photo he does not get replies
