PP 5.0 Views not updated

Not sure if this is a bug or something unique to me. But the uploaded photos do not have the views updated correctly.

Take a look at the Recent Photos, and many of them shows views of "0" even after clicking on them several times.

I found that this is related to admin setting:

Use photo view caching to reduce view update queries on high load sites?
Set this to YES if you want to enable the view caching code which caches photo view updates

If I set it to YES, the photo view does not get updated. But if I set it to NO, the photos view gets updated. Could someone please explain it to me? Does it get updated LATER if set to YES?

Thanks!

Yes it gets updated later as it is a cache system to reduce writing the views to the photos tables right away

The whole point of a "caching system" is to cache view updates and update at random intervals - not every update.
