Recent/Random on Category?

Right now with PP 5.0, every category I go to shows the Recent Photos on the top above the menu link, and Random photos on the bottom. I only want these two sections on the front page, not on the categories, how could I do it?

Hi..

Ok try this, goto your PP admin and find - edit settings > layout options >

Set both options below to NO

Show recent photos in default location (bottom)? (if no, will display at top)
Show Most Recent Additions on Index page?

No, it did not work. If I set both to NO, it still shows Random photos on the bottom, but it does not show Recent on the home page.

I still want both to show on HOME page, but NOT on category.

Do you have it set that the members category does NOT show all of the member's photos? If so, try changing it so that it does. Yes, I know it shouldn't be related, but it seems to make randomn photos show up for all categories if you have the members category not show all photos.

There isn't a switch to disable them on showgallery.php while enabling them on index.php; you'd have to comment out the lines in showgallery.php which look like:

display_gallery( ... );

to not print them.

Bob, you are right!!! For hours, I could not find out why!

Did you notice that if we select YES, it shows "everything" including the photos from public personal albums which is confusing?
