| Warning: main(.languages/english.php): failed to open stream
Hi,
I have just upgraded from pp4.82 to pp5, and there were no errors given during the running of the upgrade script.
However, now it has been upgraded, when visiting our gallery default page I get the error :
Warning: main(.languages/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in homexpower-mpublic_htmlgallerypp-inc.php on line 65
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '.languages/english.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/xpower-m/public_html/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 65
Can anyone shed any light on this for me, please?

Is your $PP_PATH in the config-inc.php set to this?
/home/xpower-m/public_html/gallery
Does the languages/english.php file exist on the server?

I am getting the same error on a fresh install, I checked my config file and the Path is correct. Isn't the problem in the pp-inc.php file?
This is line 65
require "{$Globals['PP_PATH']}/languages/$pplang.php"

Ok guys...who ever is having this error it is either the path or the chmod, make sure you set the values correctly...mine is now working.
Now create a directory on your web server for PhotoPost. The directory needs to be accessible via the web. FTP PhotoPost's directories and files from your local machine to your server. The directory structure on your server should be as follows:
photopost
images (chmod 755)
uploads (chmod 777)
help (chmod 755)
data (chmod 777)
1 (chmod 777)
2 (chmod 777)
500 (chmod 777)
languages (chmod 755) (all subdirectories, too)
english (chmod 755)
Be sure to FTP all .php and .sql files into

It is the path
Note your error it was giving the path as .
That is why I asked you what your path was in the config file itself as it was coming back as the period and not the path.

Does the languages/english.php file exist on the server? | $PP_PATH doesnt seem to be located in the config-inc.php
However I do have the following in config-int.php :
$pppath = "/home/xpower-m/public_html/gallery";
languages/english.php does exist
Line 65 in pp-inc.php is as follows :
require "{$Globals['PP_PATH']}/languages/$pplang.php";
The file permissions have also been set as mentioned above, but the error still remains.

Exactly you upgraded from a earlier version of Photopost. In the complete changedfile text in the documentation it stated to add the $PP_PATH variable to the config file at 4.8
CONFIG-INC.PHP: There are only two small changes to config-inc.php: The version number
in config-inc.php has changed and we have added back the $PP_PATH variable. You can either
manually update the file or select Edit Config from the admin menu and then SUBMIT to
update your file automatically.
Add this to your config-inc.php file
$PP_PATH = "/home/xpower-m/public_html/gallery";

Excellent stuff, I obviously missed that!
The error has now cleared, and just requires the thumbnail re-generation for the existing images. I saw something in the documentation about that for the upgrade to 5.0 - Ill give that a go and get back to you if needed
Once again, you've been extremely helpful |

OK, I seem to have hit another problem, re: the rebuilding of the thumbnails.
The options were used in the admin interface (adm-db.php) to re-build the thumbnails, but now, although the images still appear to be there, the web view seems to think there are no images?
Is there a way to-re-link these easily, or am I looking at a restore of the previous setup?

Yes you would never run a rebuild thumbnail if you had problems with the upgrade
You need to restore the photos table and then rerun the upgrade fully.
Make sure all permissions are 777 on the data folder and its subdirectories
