Upgraded with errors to 5.0 from 4.82

This is the error I get on my site after an upgrade from 4.82 to 5.0. I ran the upgrade script but got permissions denied errors on step 3. Also all of my pics now say "no thumbnail"!

What is going on?

Which upgrades did you run? Did you run each one starting with Upgrade 4.82 and follow it through?

I ran 4.85/4.86 upgrade only. I got that from the dirextions. Since I was using 4.82 I thought I did not need to use 4.82 upgrade.
