Upload Problem Fopen and no forward slashes

I seem to be having a problem adding images to a gallery.

Warning: fopen(/home/mydomain/public_html/owners/gallery/uploads/3/index.htm): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in homemydomaincpublic_htmlownersgallerypp-inc.php on line 1513

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in homemydomainpublic_htmlownersgallerypp-inc.php on line 1514

My data and upload directories are 777 and I have a trailing / in config-int.

Any clues????

How about the directories underneath the uploads directory? Are they 777?
