mysql crashed, cannot upload anymore

I am on 4.7j.

Yesterday, our mysql database got crashed for some reason, and it took quite a while to get it rebooted. After rebooting, the phpbb forum works fine, but photopost members cannot upload photos anymore.


It shows the first page, then the message "Preparing to process the image list".

Then it goes to directly to "No more images found." without actually uploading any photos.


Could anyone help me identify the problem?

Did something happen to your directory permissions that a file cant be uploaded?

It does not look like a directory permission since no error message at all.

When member upload, it shows the message "Preparing to process the image list".

What rebooted? Your server or just MySQL? Did you check your tables to make sure none needed repair? Doesn't sound like any database issue since you aren't getting an error; maybe something on your server isn't accepting the uploads?

It is the MySQL failure that caused the server down. I did the Repair and Optimize tables and no error messages of any sort.

Moving to a new server solved the problem. But that was a pain in the ass.
