Post Installation Issues

Howdy!

I have two or three little problems going on for which I tried to search the archives here and could not solve. No doubt, I am just not searching right. But here they are:

My environment: self hosted FreeBSD server, PHP 4.3.10, Apache 1.3.33, PHPBB2 integration turned on, ImageMagik. All was working just peachy.

#1 The biggest problem is, suddenly uploads stop working and just give the "no more images found" message. I had not made any changes to the server, in fact this servers only job is to run Photopost. I poked around in php.ini and confirmed everything was OK, and after two reboots it again started working. I could not find anything in the error logs that would indicate a problem. Anything I can check when/if this happens again?

#2 I am using PHPBB integration as I mentioned, but I keep getting these error messages in my HTTP-ERRORS log file relating to VB3. I checked all the VB3 options in config to see that they were off:

[Sun Feb 13 09:00:53 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant MOBILE_CAT - assumed 'MOBILE_CAT' in /usr/local/www/data-dist/photopost/config-int.php on line 31
[Sun Feb 13 09:00:53 2005] [error] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant VB3_INTEGRATION - assumed 'VB3_INTEGRATION' in /usr/local/www/data-dist/photopost/config-int.php on line 41

#3 How does one tell what version of photopost they are running, to determine the need to upgrade?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

1. Definitely sounds like a server config issue. Check file uploads status and uploadtmp directory to ensure proper permissions

2. PHP notices in a log are nothing to worry about just means your error reporting is set higher than other systems and its logging empty variables. All programs have empty variables until they are put in use. Nothing to worry about

3. Your version will be displayed in your footer of Photopost. Looking at your site your body background and onbody are the same color so you cant see your copyright. You may need to adjust your css properties

I would think it was server config if it was not working fine and then stopped working without a server config change, unless I just have some borderline setting...

Thanks on 2 and 3!

Giving more precise errors on uploading might help

I just uploaded fine

by the way regular members have moderators access to your install so you might want to change that unless you changed me.

I gave you the only error message your system provides "no more images found" It does seem to be working again now, but I am expecting it to break again at some point since I did not change anything.

Thanks for the heads up on the permissions. Taken care of now.

Also fixed the link color for your copyright.
