Question uploading with big pics fails

Hello Guys

When I upload "normal" size pictures with like 400kB everything went good. But when I tried bigger ones from my DigiCam with 2 MByte or so it only upload the picture but not showing. It uploads and then screen shows me that the pictures will create and then nothing. I click forward but only my header shows and nothing more. I checked the size in the pp-options (3500x3500) and my picture have 3008x2000. I dont know why it can't handle it. I use GD2 and have no chance to change it. The software runs in an php-cgi mode because this software uses commands that not support beware of security reasons by my provider.
Any suggestions ???

best regards
Andreas

*Edit: I could change to ImageMagick and the problems are gone...you can close it
