error messages on admin login

i get the following messages when i log in. i've had these since 2004 and have decided to try and do something about them. Hope someone can help me identify what they are and why they are coming up.
also no one other than myself is able to post images despite having permissions.

Per the Requirements page you need to have safe mode off to run Photopost. Users can not upload because safe mode is on.
