Moving to a new server

I'm moving my site to another server soon, what's the best way to handle PhotoPost? Do I create the database, run the installer script, and then just import all my data into the DB? As long as I configure the data directories during the install, I should just be able to copy the data directories over to the one I specified, and it should work alright?

Thanks for any help.

You can do that.

I just backup database and directory with data and upload to new server and restore database then edit the config for the proper database info server path etc. If the domain name is gonna be the same nothing more needs to be done otherwise you can edit the settings table and correct the url and server path options in there.

So I don't even need to run the install? That sounds even better.

Thanks for the help
