| PhotoPost 4.1.1 install problems still, looks like a bug need free upgrade
If its a bug then I should get a free upgrade if this is the case. As one tech
told me there had been problems. If that is so I should be upgraded to a
version that will install correctly. I shouldn't have to pay for upgrade if there
is a problem with the program I bought for full price. www.inkjetgraphics.com

I dont know who is telling you there is a bug. 4.1.1 is an old unsupported version and we do not do free installations. With a license purchase you get free techical support. Any hands on assistance is provided through installation service.
As I beleive I have already stated to you in a support email a week your issue is simple. Y need to delete the install.php file as it is telling you to do so here
For security reasons, please remove the install.php from the PhotoPost directory before proceeding. http://www.inkjetgraphics.com/photopost/ |

| Install problems
MySQL error reported!
Query: SELECT cpaccess, modaccess, diskspace, uploadsize, uploads, comments, editpho, editposts FROM usergroups WHERE groupid=3 LIMIT 1
Result: Unknown column 'modaccess' in 'field list'
Database handle: Resource id #6
This what I get on my page.
I have WOWBB install on site and made database for it with no problems.
Can't understand why Photopost is so hard to install.
It ran for over one year with no problems and that is whay I wanted to stay with 4.1.1 if I could.
If it works don't fix it.

well ensure the database your using is 4.1.1
The column Modaccess was added to Photopost 3.2 and your missing it.
If your database is not valid as in your have not ran the upgrades from prior version to the version your running or installing you can not guarantee things to work.
You can add that column with this in phpmyadmin
ALTER TABLE usergroups ADD modaccess smallint(3) NOT NULL default '0';
However as stated I would ask why you dont have that column if you where running 4.1

As I stated modaccess was added in Photopost 3.2 I gave you the altertable to add that in to correct the error you posted that you had on 4.1. You have not posted any other errors

| But did you get the 4.1.1 file I sent you???????????
You can see what is missing or wrong with the whole setup folder.
I sent you what I had downloaded from you guys months ago.
All the files should be in that folder that Im trying to do the install with.
I got it from you guys when I first bought the program.

I did not ask for any mail to be sent to me and most likely my spam program got you. I have pretty tight security on that one Only email address's I put in there are recieved.
4.1 has not been available for download for at least a year and a half

| Only way you can help is to look at the program itself Please take care of this
Then you can see what part of the program is wrong. Yes its been awhile since I downloaded it but it did come from you.
If something is not right with it that should be corrected or replaced.
I must have gotten lucky the first time I installed it. Thats why I can't
install it again because of the problem there is in it.
I would like to have something that works or correct this program.
I don't like buying things that don't work.
Please take care of this.

You are not understanding what I am saying here. Have you made the correction I posted in this thread to the error you posted?
I looked at your install and you have not made the change I stated.

| Sorry but I don't know how to add that into the install program
I shouldn't have to add things into a program that I bought that should install
itself correctly. That's not what I bought. That's why I think I should be giving a replacement for this program with one that will work. Is that to much to ask?
It would save all the back and forth chatter.

This is a support forum. You post an error and I post a solution. I have done that. That is what we are here to do.
Photopost 4.1 worked fine when it was out. I cant sent anyone files when they just want me to. You are coming back here after almost two years and claiming issues with two year old software. If you have members access you would be able you can surely download 4.8.6 which is the current version.
You would need to pay for members access if you dont have access but the fact that you can post in here tells me you have current members access so why not download 4.8.6?

| Here is reply I got about might have been a bug
Hello videorov8847,
Michael P has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Having problem with install photopost 4.1.1 - in the Installation & Upgrades forum of PhotoPost Community.
This thread is located at: Having problem with install photopost 4.1.1
or in the members area: Having problem with install photopost 4.1.1
Here is the message that has just been posted:
***************
4.1.1 was a long time ago, I'm not sure if this was a bug back then or not. You can add modaccess manually to your table, I suppose:
ALTER TABLE usergroups ADD modaccess int(3) NOT NULL default '0';
***************
There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.
Yours,
PhotoPost Community team
So there just might have been a bug back then.
I don't have update access so can't download the new version.

Then you need to renew your members access and download the latest software.
If you are not going to make the change both Michael and I have posted here in the support forum to get 4.1.1 working then this is your only other option
