Unregistered can post comments

I have set all of my usergroups to allow comments? No.
Yet I can write a comment with or without even being logged in.

I just located under admin options:
Allow users to post comments?
It was set to YES. I changed it to NO.
Now comments are prohibited.
Still don't understand why I could post a comment with the usergroups set to NO.
Would you like admin rights?

What were your category posting rights set to under category editor as the Catperms could allow posting.

Everything is checked.
So what is the difference between Usergroup Access Permissions under categories and Usergroups permissions?

Well they work hand in hand. If your not running the latest 4.8.6 and did the initial download your if statement could have had a flaw that was corrected

Looking at the code basically it is looking for the global switch which you now turned off the catperms and the usergroup permission set to yes
