Modifying "featured photos"

Here's where I'm at...

I am probably wrong, but here's a couple of things that don't seem to work.

There is a photopost_inc.php included with the download of photopost. This one I had problems with, so I downloaded the vb_pp_integ files. It also had a photopost_inc.php. It's different, and it worked.

There is also a features_inc.php included with the original download. It doesn't seem to affect anything whether it is there or not (probably wrong!).

Here's what this post is actually about...

I am trying to get the photos to line up on the side like in the photopostdev forum. Am I correct in assuming to do this I have to refer to the inc_photopost.php and edit lines at about 109 to 124 or is there a better way to do this? Is this where I control the number of photos displayed?
or am I just a lost puppy...

Here's where I'm at: http://www.teambuick.com/forum/

Thanks

Okay well I cant comment on the hack.

As far as the included files they work quite well

If you post what types of errors you have trying to get the supported files working I might be able to suggest whats wrong and a cure.

In fact the inc_features.php you can set how to display the featured photos up or down

It would just be a matter of html in creating a sidebar to run it in the forum if you wanted to run it as a sidebar

Ok, thanks.

I have uploaded the originally included file. There is no display. Error log shows nothing.

If the catagory display on the vb3 is controlled by the same inc_photopost.php, then file is working, it is just not displaying the "features" part...

I am running photopost in the vb3 database, and have it installed as a subdirectory of the vb3 forum.

Have you followed the instructions for installing this.

In your index.php file did you place the include to the inc_features.php just like you did for the inc_photopost.php file?

Thank you, I have added the line, but not because I have found it in the instructions yet...

When I received the program, I used the email link to:
http://www.photopost.com/manual/index.html
I noted the "The UBB Threads PhotoPost Total Integration" listed.

I then followed the "PhotoPost Pro Installation Guide" to http://www.photopost.com/installphp.html and attempted to follow the instructions. I then went back and downloaded the "The UBB Threads PhotoPost Total Integration" which gave me instructions and the other file I mentioned in the earlier post.

I will have another look at the instructions, perhaps I have continued to follow an incorrect link missing a better set of instructions.

Thank you for you help again. I know most of these problems are the users inablility to "read" the instructions, and I'm probably no different....
