Angry Upgrade Procedure 4.8d -> 4.86

The upgrade procedure explainations around these forums are nuts.

Can you simply spell out for me what needs done to go 4.8d -> 4.86

I have read all the threads here and as usual they don't make complete sense.
The sooner I get that done, the sooner I can start going thru these bug fixes threads and fix what breaks in the upgrade.

Thanks

Your upgrade instructions are found in your distribution upgrade.txt

Basically it says upload everything except the config and install file and run upgrade.php and select the upgrades applicable to your situation from the last version you ran

Angry

I don't jump into things like this lightly. I have read that document and the rest.
Have you ran that upgrade script?
Can you tell me where it says 4.8 - anything on it please?

Thanks

Yes and thats the one you want to run.

In the bottom of the upgrade text is this

Please read the CHANGELOG.TXT FILE so you know what to expect from version upgrades.

In this file it notes there is no database changes from 4.8 to 4.8.2
