| problem with new installation
Hi I'm trying to make a new installation of photopost 4.8.6 with an integration with my newly reinstalled vb3
right after step 4 I get this error
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /hotel/sushi-inc_dk/WWW/photopost/install.php on line 722
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /hotel/sushi-inc_dk/WWW/photopost/install.php on line 722
I cannot connect to the Users database.
Would appreciate if anyone could give me some help
Thanks in advance
Mikal

You have not entered the correct mysql information to connect to the users database

Hello,
I just check your install file and you didn't fill the user database mysql info.
If you are using the same db for both applications, just put the same settings twice.
Best regards,

No problema
Still having an issue, check your $vbpath path in your config-int.php as well.
Later,

I still have some trouble in my forums, but its getting there http://www.sushi-inc.dk/forums/index.php?
I get this error:
Warning: Failed opening './photopost/inc_photopost.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/apache/lib/php') in /index.php on line 59
maybe it has something to do with, that I havent put this info in?
<!-- /main -->
<br />
$photopostcats
<br />
I didnt know where to put it.

Hi back,
A summary for other people:
Customer id entered instead of license of vb3;
No cookie prefix set in setting table 171;
Wrong path in config-int.php and inc_photopost.php;
...
Enjoy

Yes it is nice when Francois helps out when he can. Him being across the seas he is on a different timezone and thus when I wake like today to see a couple threads I do not need to respond to since they are resolved.

If your using Photopost 4.8.6 and have VB3 integration set to On then it would grab your cookie settings from VB3 if you have things set up.
Your running 4.8 which is why it is not set up right which means you have not set cookies right.
I would if I where you upgrade since 4.8.6 is a security fix also
If you do not want to upgrade your cookie settings are this
cookie domain blank
cookie prefix bb
cookie path /
Then also enter your correct VB License in the config where it tells you to
