problem with new installation
Hi I'm trying to make a new installation of photopost 4.8.6 with an integration with my newly reinstalled vb3
right after step 4 I get this error
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /hotel/sushi-inc_dk/WWW/photopost/install.php on line 722
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /hotel/sushi-inc_dk/WWW/photopost/install.php on line 722
I cannot connect to the Users database.
Would appreciate if anyone could give me some help :)
Thanks in advance
You have not entered the correct mysql information to connect to the users database
my users database is the same as my vb database?
I can see that photopost has written some table into my vb database, but it fails at step 4
I just check your install file and you didn't fill the user database mysql info.
If you are using the same db for both applications, just put the same settings twice.
thanks that did help :)
No problema ;)
Still having an issue, check your $vbpath path in your config-int.php as well.
Yeah I have some trouble with login
Fatal error: Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/apache/lib/php') in /hotel/sushi-inc_dk/WWW/photopost/header-inc.php on line 19
Not sure where to look
Line 15 in config-int.php
Thanks again :)
your eyes are better than mine ;)
I still have some trouble in my forums, but its getting there :)
I get this error:
Warning: Failed opening './photopost/inc_photopost.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/apache/lib/php') in /index.php on line 59
maybe it has something to do with, that I havent put this info in?
<!-- /main -->
I didnt know where to put it.
A summary for other people:
Customer id entered instead of license of vb3;
No cookie prefix set in setting table 171;
Wrong path in config-int.php and inc_photopost.php;
and a BIG thank you to Inderdit for his great support :)
Yes it is nice when Francois helps out when he can. ;) Him being across the seas he is on a different timezone and thus when I wake like today to see a couple threads I do not need to respond to since they are resolved.
Yes, when i can. Just to let you have a lighter weekend, Omegatron ;)
A pleasure to help the pp community.
Always a pleasure ;)
Just sitting here drinking my java in the am.
I have a little problem with cookies I think
when Im logged in on my vbforum, im not logged into photopost, and when I log in there, Im not logged into vbforums.
How do I fix that?
Thanks again :)
If your using Photopost 4.8.6 and have VB3 integration set to On then it would grab your cookie settings from VB3 if you have things set up.
Your running 4.8 which is why it is not set up right which means you have not set cookies right.
I would if I where you upgrade since 4.8.6 is a security fix also
If you do not want to upgrade your cookie settings are this
cookie domain blank
cookie prefix bb
cookie path /
Then also enter your correct VB License in the config where it tells you to
