Cant change from imagemagick to GD2

Help, trying to track down thumbnail problem and so far discovered this. When I go to photo gallery admin > edit config and go to bottom of page where you can use the drop down box to choose between imagemagick - gd1 or gd2, I set it for GD2 as that is what I have and have used before and it works. So save the settings but when I check it, it stays set on imagemagick.

I am using photopost 4.8.5 vb3 enhanced, vbulletin is 3.0.3
I did not do the last upgrade but had someone else do it when I had vbportal installed and vbulletin was upgraded. vBulletin runs and is set on GD2.

In admin Global Options set processor to GD2

The config part should be removed as its no longer in the config file

Then you have not properly upgraded your installation.

I know there are alot of people out there that improperly try and edit there config files on their upgrades however the upgrade instructions have always stated not to replace it.

In this upgrade if you did this and then ran the upgrade script to upgrade 482 you hosed yourself as your missing important queries in your settings table as part of the upgrade requires certain variables in your 482 and below config file to insert the settings into your settings table.

Your may be place the following settings back into your config file and rerun the upgrade to insert them. Make sure to put the proper cookie variables for you in these settings below before running the upgrade. If your using VB3 dont worry about it as when you use vb3 integration we get cookie settings from that forum

$onthefly="0";
$usegd="1";
$cookie_domain="";
$cookie_path="/";
$cookie_prefix="";
